2012 CALL FOR NOMINATIONS!!

 

Do you know someone in our community who is making an extra effort toward peacemaking?  Please consider submitting a nomination! (Anyone may nominate.)

 

 The nominee requirements are as follows:

1 - The nominee (whether an individual, group,or organization) must be located in the greater Tacoma / Pierce County area.

2 - The nominee must be doing work which contributes to peace, whether directly or indirectly.

3 - The nominee must be doing the peace work outside of / in addition to paid employment.

 The committee accepts nominations from January 1 - March 31.  

The Spirit and Skills of Negotiation   

The GTPP recently co-sponsored, with St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Tacoma WA, an extensive course (three 4-hour sessions) entitled "The Spirit and Skills of Negotiation: Collaborative Planning and Cooperative Problem Solving," taught pro bono by William F. Lincoln, renowned conflict resolution practitioner and recipient of the 2006 Greater Tacoma Peace Prize. For further information about the seminar, click here.

The Peacemaker Forums

In February of 2011, four GTPP laureates - Ms. Kim Ebert-Colella (2010), Rev. David Alger (2009), Rev. Ron Vignec (2007), and Mr. William F. Lincoln (2006) - were guest presenters at the “Peacemaker Forums,” held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church by The Narrows, Tacoma, Washington.
